200 YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS FEATURED AT COLORADO GARDEN & HOME SHOW

Youth ages 5-17 to showcase their creative products at The Children’s Entrepreneur Market

 WHAT:

A group of enterprising kids are planting the seeds of entrepreneurship at the 66th annual Colorado Garden & Home Show. The Children’s Entrepreneur Market, a nonprofit initiative that teaches youth ages 5-17 how to run their own small business, will be a highlight of opening weekend.

Approximately 200 Colorado children will occupy 85 booths selling a creative array of products, including handmade bath products, vintage clothing, sensory kits, wood working pieces, handmade jewelry, fossils and even a lemonade stand.

Through the Children’s Entrepreneur Market, children “learn and earn” through video lessons, curriculum, scholarships and a blog series that shares lessons and experiences from kids, for kids. Selling their products at marketplaces like the Colorado Garden & Home Show provides them with the opportunity to fine-tune their business strategy and earn real money among some healthy competition. The Children’s Entrepreneur Market is currently in 26 states and aims to be nationwide by the end of the year.
